ReadyNAS NV+ V2 failing to start up
I have a ReadyNAS NV+ V2, with 4x 2GB WD Caviar Green drives, set up with the standard XRaid etc - it's been working fine for about 2 years. (Also have several older V1s which have been going much longer, and I like much more).
Over the weekend we were moved to a different floor of the office building. Pretty sure I shut everything down nicely, but possible I forgot this one and the building guys just yanked the power out.
Either way, it's now refusing to start up - the power button lights up blue and the indicator screen at the bottom comes on, but only for 1-2 seconds after connecting the power cable. Pretty sure the power cable/converter thing is working as the LAN LED is on only if the power cable is in, and as I say the lights on the front do come on for a moment. Have tried jiggling cables around in case it's a loose connection but no dice. Also noted the power lights/screen seems to be the exact same length of time each time I try to start it, which seems further evidence that it's not the power.
The only other thing I noticed was that the indicator screen starts off as just a row of filled-in rectangles, then looks like they mostly go out and the first few start coming on as if it's going to roll along the bar - thing dies at about the third block (this whole process takes about a second).
Have tried the reset (poking a paperclip in the hole in the back and holding it there while powering on), but nothing seems to happen. Also tried starting up with/without drives in place, with various combinations of drives etc. Any other ideas anyone?
Not too worried about recovering data (not backed up elsewhere but can probably be rebuilt if really necessary), just want to get the machine up and running again if possible and would be very grateful for any help...

- jhvbAspirantSorry to have troubled you, looks like I wasn't as thorough in my searching as I thought - my problem is answered here:

Turns out it's due to powering off with the "Auto Power Off" feature enabled, which essentially bricks the device with older firmware.
Solution - remove the little motherboard battery to reset it.
No need to unscrew anything, just open front door, remove drives, flip it over, reach into the gap with some tweezers and detach the battery. Leave the battery out for a few mins (I gave it 5 to be safe), then put it all back together and power on, and it's alive again. Yay.
Turn off auto-power once it's up in case it happens again, then update firmware.
All running happily again now :) - shylajohnAspirantIt is not good to listen that you got troubled while using NAS NV+V2 at startup time. There is no big issue because sometimes it can be cause of not getting proper power to start or any minor problem.
