I believe the answer to that is "no". Though you can probably attach a drive to a PC, and back up the shares over the network. This is not something I've attempted.

You can create RAID-0 volumes for each drive, which amounts to the same thing. The v2 documentation calls this JBOD (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... 3Jul12.pdf).

You need to use FlexRAID to get this mode however, which on the older products requires a factory reset/restore from backup. This is described in the manual link above.
