OK, after a OS reset, I am now back to where I was a few days ago, except I can also log in to Frontview!
RAIDar screen, left to right:
1. Overall status - solid yellow
2. Volume status - flashing green, "initializing 0% complete, time to finish 9 hrs"
3. Slot 1 Disk status - flashing green, "Channel 1, Seagate ...initializing, time to finish 9 hrs"
Slot 2 disk: Green indicator, "Channel 2, Seagate... 188 ATA errors."
Via Frontview, health status is as follows:
Disk 1 (2TB) - Status initialising
Disk 2 (1TB) - Status OK.
Disk 2 SMART+ information:
Model: ST31000528AS
Serial: 9VP8QARP
Firmware: CC38

Start Stop Count 42
Reallocated Sector Count 4014
Power On Hours 19979
