Readynas Pro 6 "volumes" screen is blank

I am having the same issue reported in this thread.

I have a ReadyNAS Pro6 running 6.10.8. There are four 4tb Lenovo branded Seagate EXOS ST4000NM0035 drives installed.

When I log in to the admin page of the NAS the System-Volumes page is completely blank. Also, under System-Performance the Status section is empty. I have attached screenshots from Firefox.

I have tried this using Firefox on multiple Ubuntu Linux machines and using Firefox and Edge on a couple of Windows machines.

I had a couple of Seagate Barracuda 2tb drives installed in the NAS before replacing them with the 4tb drives and everything was displaying as expected in the admin page.

Is there a fix for this? What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?VolumesPerformance

There was no solution for the previous post.  I am guessing that you never had any data stored on these disks - is that correct?

You could doing a factory reset.

You are correct, there is no data.

I have factory reset the NAS several times. I tried once with only one of the 4TB drives installed. Each time the results have been the same.

RAIDar (4.3.8 and 6.5.0) can find the NAS and when I hover the mouse cursor over each drive icon a pop-up shows some of the drive info including model number, size and temperature.

All other functions of the NAS appear to be working as expected.

        .

You could potentially try exploring further with ssh.  Though you might also want to connect the disks to a PC and test them with seatools.

I am wondering if Lenovo set up a security lock on the drives.

  • A bit more information.

I have another Pro6 that has five 8tb WD Red (WD80EFAX) drives installed.

I shut down the NAS and installed one of the Lenovo/Seagate 4tb drives in the empty slot and started the NAS back up.

When I was able to log in to Frontview the System-Volumes page was blamk and the Status section on the System-Performance page was also blank.

This seems to confirm that Frontview is not able to recognize/work with this particular model of hard drive.
