ReadyNAS Pro2 - Time Machine Error "Backup Failed"

After an electricity outage, received an error for all subsequent time machine backups reading - "Backup Failed. Time Machine couldn't back up to NAS-XX-XX-XX." Upon clicking for more details - "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to NAS-XX-XX-XX. An error occurred while copying tfiles. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your back up disk."

After the electricity outage, checked the status via NETGEAR RAIDar and everything was running properly.  Also checked via the admin page and everything was running properly.  Tried re-selecting the NAS device in the Time Machine options and re-entering the ReadyNAS password, etc. and still no success.

Thoughts?  Is my only/best option to delete the sparsebundle file from the NAS device and begin a brand new Time Machine back-up from scratch? Not the end of the world, but there must be a better way.

Many thanks

Unfortunately, I was not using a UPS.  Perhaps a lesson to purchase one.

Perhaps off-topic, but I always recommend them.
