ReadyNAS Remote Monitoring Tool?
Hi, Everyone
I am just wondering ... Is there any Windows tool which resides in task tray and remotely monitor the status of ReadyNAS, such as CPU temperature, fan speed and maybe disk usage?
If so, I am very interested in trying one. If not, is there any neat way to do such things using any common tool? Or, again I am just wondering ... Is it possible to develop such tool, maybe using SSL? Enough technical information is disclosed? Except reading though the huge source code of RAIDiator...

- miko1AspirantHello,
There is a tool (add on) available in the community:
please look here:

The one i have is Nasmon (realtime information)
You can make it available in your browser!
Good luck ;-)
Miko - emoachtAspirantThanks, Miko
As you suggested, I tried to install NAS Monitor but I could not find the php add-on itself, which seems to be prerequisite for NAS Monitor, in the download area. Also, the links in Nas Monitor's page are both dead and could not be rearched. viewtopic.php?f=48&t=24817
I am basically a Windows guy and maybe need to know more about Linux and php things. I will try again in other time when I have more time.
Thanks anyway.
Edit:
Arghhhhh, I just found that php add-on in community board. Blame me ... - NASMon for the Duo, NV/NV+ here
NASMon for the Pro, NVX, here
PHP1.3 for the Duo, NV/NV+ here
PHP1.4 for the Pro, NVX, here
Also, a few tips here viewtopic.php?f=61&t=50985 to get it working properly, as for some of us it needed some adjusting to get it working better. - emoachtAspirantThanks, InTheShires
I spent some time to select which php add-on package is suitable for Nas Monitor on my Ultra 2... Finally, I got Nas Monitor worked. - mjoeyAspirant

Wich add-on packages did you used? I also have an Ultra 2.
All the packages I've found are for the Pro. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredPro and Ultra 2 are both x86 NASes so addons for the Pro should work on the Ultra too.

I've tried a week ago to install an add-on for the Pro but didn't manage to get it installed.
I'll try today again, tnx for so far. - Rok1Aspirant

PHP1.4 for the Pro is absolutelly danger! At least if RAIDiator 4.2.17 is running.
After the installation, which seems to be ok, it's no longer possible to get access to FrontView at all. Reboot of anything or reinstallation of the ReadyNAS-firmware didn't help - factory reset worked...
Because it was so cool, I tried it twice... - emoachtAspirantSorry, I should have written the exact version numbers. In my Ultra 2,
- RAIDiator 4.2.17
- PHP 1.4 for the Pro (PRO-PHP_1.4.bin)
- Nas Monitor 3.6.10 (NasMonitor_3.6.10.bin)
are working fine without problem. I have no idea on Rok's case though. - thuibregtseAspiranti have read through this entire post several times and followed the links, i cannot get PHP to install correctly.
ReadyNAS 4200 running 4.2.17
this is what i get in the logs.....help is much appreciated as i have 6 of these things to monitor, probably more to come.
