Hello Philip_G,

Have you double checked if SMB is enabled on the admin page > System > Settings > Services as well as on all the shares?

If it's already enabled, maybe try disable then enable.

Thanks for the prompt reply and the welcome - I'd say it's great to be here, but frankly I only am because I'm stuck!

Yep SMB is running (I even tried running it off and on again). I've allowed anonymous access, I also have NFS, AFP, FTP as well as HTTP active and I've given read/write access to everyone.

I've rebooted it numerous times as well as the router/modem it's attached to, this PC and the Mac as well.

I'm stumped.

  Try using NAS admin credentials on the windows PC and see if that works.
