Hello Philip_G,
Have you double checked if SMB is enabled on the admin page > System > Settings > Services as well as on all the shares?
If it's already enabled, maybe try disable then enable.

Hi Jenn
Thanks for the prompt reply and the welcome - I'd say it's great to be here, but frankly I only am because I'm stuck!
Yep SMB is running (I even tried running it off and on again). I've allowed anonymous access, I also have NFS, AFP, FTP as well as HTTP active and I've given read/write access to everyone.
I've rebooted it numerous times as well as the router/modem it's attached to, this PC and the Mac as well.
I'm stumped.

Try using NAS admin credentials on the windows PC and see if that works.

Hello Philip_G,
Are you getting error message when trying to map the NAS IP?

Hi Jenn
I already have it mapped via Windows Exploer and it gives me this when I attempt to acess it:
"An error occurred while reconnecting to N: to\\10.1.1.37\Share
Microsoft Windows Network: The specified network name is no longer available.
The connectionhas not been restored."
When I try to reach it via the Mac Finder just says "Connection Failed".

Hi Stephen
Not sure I'm following, do you want me to amend the permissions via the admin page?

No, I wanted you to use the admin credentials from windows file explorer.
Try opening CMD and then enter
net use * /delete
net use t: \\10.1.1.37\data /user:admin nas-admin-password
using the real nas admin password. The commands above assume the data volume is called "data" and that you are not using "password" as the admin password.
The first command will terminate any open sessions with the NAS (and might prompt for confirmation). the second attempts to mount the NAS data volume as drive letter t. Be careful on spaces and the direction of the slashes (note / and \ are both used).
