Readynas RND4000-100NAS power failure / transfering old disk's to new Netgear NAS system
Been looking on the forum for about two days now and cant seem to find any information on fixing this Readynas RND4000-100nas i read a couple of different things but nothing to put a spot on solution. I have contacted netgear over 15 times on the phone and been transfered and hung up on everytime. I recently bought a new NETGEAR ReadyNAS 214, Diskless (RN21400-100NES) in hopes of transfering and salvaging my files etc. and using the old disks and putting them onto the new NAS system. if anyone has information that will help please let me know thank you!

The only information I have on that also says you need support to help: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29876?cid=wmt_netgear_organic You will need enough external storage to hold your data.
Perhaps try email, and see if you can get a case number assigned - then post that here.

Thanks StephenB, I finally go in contact with Netgear support through the chat and they mentioned using the data recovery option offered by them but I have to wait for my new Netgear NAS system to arrive before moving forward. So I am hoping they can help recover my data and possibly fix my old NAS. I did have a case number when I filled out the information online which was 27132008 and called multiple times over the phone and was transfered almost ten times and everytime I was transfered I would get hung up on. So I am grateful the chat worked out for now.
