    The part numbering system can be confusing.

     

    You have hardware revision 3 of the original NV+.  We call all of the original (sparc-based) platforms "NV+ v1" here.

    Here is one supplier:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323971676540  Note it is possible to get "stock" supplies, perhaps for a bit less.  But you'd need to make a change to the wiring in order to use them.

    Try removing all the disks (powered down) - labeling them by slot number as you remove them.  Then power up the NAS, and see if you still hear the clicking sound.  Also, check if the LCD displays "no disks" or not.

     

    If you see "no disks", then it is possible that you have a failed disk, and not a bad PSU.  In this situation, try

    1. installing disks 2, 3, 4 in their original slots (leaving bay 1 empty).
    2. Power up, and see if the system boots.

    If this fails, try again with disks 1, 3, 4 (again, in their original slots), followed by 1, 2, 4 and 1, 2, 3.

     

    If you find a combination that boots, offload your data immediately.
