So you have daily snapshots for past 4 weeks,
pruned to weekly for the previous 4,
pruned to monthly for the previous months.
Every month or so I go in manually and delete the oldest snapshot for the share. Generally I aim for 3 months back.
- Hourly snapshots will be kept for a period of 48 hours.
Daily snapshots will be kept for a period of 4 weeks.
Weekly snapshots will be kept for a period of 8 weeks.
Monthly snapshots are retained forever.
So you have daily snapshots for past 4 weeks,
pruned to weekly for the previous 4,
pruned to monthly for the previous months.
