ReadyNAS stuck at booting

My ready nas 214 is stuck at booting. The power light keeps blinking cotinously. Even RAIDar is showing the same at starting up.

When I visit IP address, it asks for password and denies it. All the shares are visible on the network - however no one can access them as authentication is rejected.

I have tried inserting new hard disk in the NAS, and NAS works perfectly fine. If I transfer any of these hard disks to a new NAS - same problem persists (I have a spare RN102). The power light keeps blinkind and RAIDar shows the NAS in starting up. Again all shares are visible but authentication is rejected.

The hard disks themselves are perfectly fine. I have connected both to my computer and checked for any errors and found perfectly healthy. Even RAIDar shows them as healthy hard disks. Unforunately I can not extract any data on Windows as the hard disk doesnt show up in windows explorer or Ubuntu file system.

Please help.

Try installing btrfs and mdadm on the ubuntu system.

Then you can try assembling the RAID array and mounting the btrfs file system.
