Can you try clearing cache? If same problem, maybe try another OS reinstall. Admin and netgear1 should be in lower cases, just in case.

Hopefully Jenn's suggestion on the cache will work. If it doesn't, you could try per-incident paid support.
Either way I recommend making a backup. RAID isn't enough to keep your data safe.
Thank you all for your suggestions so far.
I did clear the browser's cache, tried three different computers (OSX, Win10), using different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox)... nothing. Same behavior everywhere: after entering default login data, a couple of seconds later a dialog pops up saying 'Verification required'.
I'm pretty damn sure I entered the login data correctly, at least on some occasions, I tried all available methods and various passwords... I know 'netgear1' (no quotes) is the right default password for my firmware version. =/
Will try another OS reinstall later today.
In the mean time... how do I apply for per-incident paid support?
