Once started, you can't. And unfortunately there's no way to undo it. You'll need to
- back up the data
- uninstall any apps
- destroy the volume
- reconfigure the shares
- restore the data from backup
- reinstall any apps
You might as well do a factory default (with the original two disks in place).

Switch to flexraid by clicking on the XRAID control in the volume tab. If the green stripe on the control isn't shown, then you are in flexraid mode.
Then you can hot-insert the new disks, select them and create a second volume. In this case you'll probably need to format them using the control on the volume tab (since the NAS will probably detect them as "used").
