ReadyNV: Can´t get out the Tray...
Hi Folks, seems to me i´m stupid. Due to a diskfailure i like to replace a HardDisk#2. But I can´t get the Tray out. Tried to push the Button and tried to do it with a paper clip. No latch comes ou...
I have two ReadyNAS and never before have I had to remove a drive, the units are a couple of years old. I thought i would vacuum out all the dust for once. So I went to remove the drives.
Of course, all 8 trays were stuck due to the lock problem.
I kept pressing, trying to press hard, etc.. but what finally got them open was I got pissed and I said f--k this and took a screwdriver to it good and hard, pried that latch right off and thats when it popped open.
The moral of the story? Don't be a wuss, get that thing open like a MAN
