Having spent ages on the phone to Netgear Support (?) re this problem I think (seeing as my NAS unit is still in warranty) that Netgear should just offer to replace the sticking disc trays no questions asked, rather than mucking around asking us to stick pins here and there! When the unit was new (11 months ago) you just pressed the bottom at the bottom of the carrier and the lever popped-up, now it's a matter of brute force or the "fix" above. Common Netgear, just send me two new carriers!
