Replace with a new bigger hdd
Hello, I have a nas Netgear model RN10200-100EUS with 2 hdd of 2TB in raid 1 (mirror).
I would to replace the hdd with two new hdd of 5TB.
If I replace one hdd, the copy from the older to the newer starts automatically? I must replace first a bay in particular?
Thanks
Stefano

You remove one of the 2 TB drives with the NAS running, and then insert one of the 5 TB drives into that slot. If one of the drives is not healthy, do that one first. Otherwise just pick one. The RAID array automatically resyncs, and you need to wait for that to be completely finished.
Once that happens, you replace the second disk (again with the NAS running). Now the array resyncs again - still giving you 2 TB of space. After the resync, the volume expands to 5 TB ("vertical expansion"). Often a reboot is needed to start the vertical expansion.
