Replaced failing disk in NV+ v2 - both volume expansion and volume scan fail
Hi folks, I'm getting some slightly peculiar behaviour from my NV+ v2, and would really appreciate some help in troubleshooting. A week or so ago, I started getting errors on disk 1 of my NAS...

I used this page as a reference for how to use the USB key as extra swap: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/3/html/System_Administration_Guide/s1-swap-adding.html
In my case, the USB key appeared as /dev/sde, so I did:
mkswap /dev/sde
swapon /dev/sde
I never managed to get it working on startup using fstab, so never got it to solve my volume scan problem... but it was volume expansion I really cared about, and it did that.
