Replacement Power Supply ReadyNAS Duo RND2000
Hi all
I been checking but to date unable to locate somewhere to get a replacement power supply for my ReadyNas Duo 2000 V2.
Seem to be plenty of non Netgear options, but im not sure these are suitable.
Anyone ordered a supply that can at least verify it works
I live in UK btw.
Many thanks

Are you certain you have a v2? The labels are confusing. V2s run 5.3.x firmware, v1s run 4.1.x.
There's a guide here you might want to check: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/

That article confirms it is a V1 with the recessed power connection.
All very weird that it states V2 as a sticker !

Hello SMPTUK,
The v2 refers to revision not the hardware version. To double check you could PM(Private Message) me the serial number of your NAS then I will try to check it on our system. Do not post serial here on the thread.

The answer is no. I don't have a backup. What would you suggest if I did have a backup?
I can't (and won't) speak for Marty_M, but personally I do take the backup status into account when I offer troubleshooting advice. Some steps have risk, and I try to minimize that if the user has no backup.
Also I want to alert users if I think they are at risk of data loss - and you are. Though your symptom appears minor, there are root causes that aren't so minor.

I have used non-Netgear 12V 5A supplies with the DuoV2 and Pro2. The 12V connector is the standard 5.5mm/2.1mm one. I would avoid supplies intended exclusively for LED lighting and go with ones designed for surveilance cameras, since the cameras need better regulation than LED lighting. And a UL listing is always a good thing, too.
The model I purchased most recently is CS-1205000 and they work fine. It has a 100-240VAC input and standard computer style removable cord, so should wiork for you in the UK. They are available on Amazon, eBay, and lots of other places (though I have not noted any specifically in the UK).
