Replacing Drive C in non mirrored Duo

I have a Duo with two drives C and D which are not mirrored.

If I removed Drive C and fit a new disk when the Duo is powered off. What will happen when the Duo is powered on.

What if anyting do I need to do to format the new drive and create the media and backup directories?

- I particularly don't want to loose the data on Drive D!

Delete the shares on volume C (data will be gone so be sure to make sure that your backup of that data is up to date), delete volume C, remove the disk, insert a new disk (while the NAS is on), create a new volume C and create shares on it.
