reset share permissions
i have a cifs share all all files are owned by nobody and nogroup... the cifs share is and should only be accessible to members of the users group. if i go back into advanced share permissions and ...
You should get confirmation that ownership and permissions have been changed.
There are many reports on the forum of permissions problems with windows 7, I have had a brief look. There are a few suggestions but seemingly each problem is unique and therefore no single solution. Have you had a look.
Have you tried using a vista or xp PC to perform he same functions?
In the share specific permissions settings have you ticked the "automatically set permissions......" box. If so try unticking it and then resetting permissions in the advanced settings.
One more thing, there are some problems with share owner and group settings with the latest firmware for the NV+ ( v1) . You need to revert to 4.1.8 or move to the latest beta version if you haven't already
