Resyncing ReadyNAS ProDuo v2

Question

Hi everyone,&nbsp;Tricky question, i have a readynas&nbsp;pro duo with two HD (let's call them A and B). I recently moved homes, and prior to this I have only used one HD for a while so both HDs are not synced.&nbsp;Now I wanted to set the system back up but didn't mark the HD, so I can't find out which HD has the most recent data on it.&nbsp;If I start the ReadyNAS with only A or B inserted, it tells me I can't access the ReadyNAS from this computer (even though the blue light is on). It was the same when i inserted A left and B right. However, when I inserted B left and A right it started a resync - but I still couldn't access the drive from my computer.&nbsp;Now I want to avoid of course that the older HD overwrites the HD with the most recent data but I can't figure out how.&nbsp; Any thoughts would be much appreciated, also why I suddenly can't access the ReadyNAS any more from my computer (I checked IP address and firewall but no issue here).&nbsp;Thanks a lot!&nbsp;

If you don't see /c, then try again using the other disk.&nbsp; On v1 NAS, you'll only see /c on one of the two drives (the RAID mirror is in an area of the disk that has no partition).

There is no such thing as a ProDuo v2; it might be good to tell us what model you actually have.&nbsp; If you post the product label on the back, we can tell the model from that.

Alternatively, look at the firmware label on the back (which tells you the firmware that was originally shipped on the NAS).

if the original firmware was 4.2.x, then you have a pro-2, an ultra-2 or an ultra-2 plus.&nbsp; If product label (on the back) has a "P" in it (&nbsp;RNDP2000), then you have a Pro-2, if it has a "U" in it (&nbsp;RNDU2000), then you have an ultra-2.&nbsp; If it has both (RNDP200U) you have an ultra-2 plus.
if the original firmware was 4.1.x then you have a duo v1
if the original firmware was 5.x.x then you have a duo v2.

If it already started re-syncing, it's too late.&nbsp; It's going to copy what's on the drive it decided was primary (probably the one in slot 1) to the other.&nbsp; Trying to stop it now is likely to do more harm than good.&nbsp; A Pro2 should have enough CPU power that you should be able to access it while it syncs, it just might be a bit sluggish.&nbsp; How are you trying to access it, SMB, NFS, Frontview?&nbsp; Are you using RAIDar to determine the IP address, or something else?

Thanks, i managed to stop it and now accessed the drive by directly connecting it to my Windows computer. I guess the files and directories that I'm seeing now are all Linux files, but does anyone know the path to the shares? /usr, /var, etc. are the folders I'm seeing.

Thanks for your responses, I found the /c directory but it is empty.&nbsp;I've taken a screenshot of the partitions I see, it's a 2TB drive:http://prntscr.com/hihk3t&nbsp;Accessing the drive with Total Commander correctly shows the two partitions, media and backup:http://prntscr.com/hihkvp&nbsp;Also one thing I found interesting is that it shows 1.4TB of 2TB available, however, the data I stored was definitely more than 1TB. Is it possible that the ReadyNAS just deleted all data stored in the shares?&nbsp;On the other drive - as you noted - there is only one partition (RAW) that can't be accessed using Total Commander.&nbsp;About my model - it's RND2000-100NAS so you are right it's not a v2.&nbsp;Thanks again for all your help, really appreciate it!
