RN 204 snapshot
I am having trouble understanding how to use snapshots on my ReadyNAS 204 (firmware 6.4.1).
I used to have a ReadyNAS Duo V1 that started to drop of my network, so I decided to buy a 204.
I am running an automated backup job twice a week to an external USB harddrive, so i just restored my backup onto the 204 into the shared folder "Data" and in a subfolder called "media".
I have setup the folder to do daily snapshots, but I am not sure when a snapshot supposed to show up.
The NAS have been running for 2 weeks now but when i look at the Shares tab on the web interface it still says 0 snapshots.

I have just about 1 TB of data on my 2 TB RAID 1 array.
It looks like It is working after I copied my documents (Word/Excel/Vegas Pro etc.) to the documents share and enabled Snapshot on this share.
I guess the ReadyNAS is confused that there is a share with the same name at the volume.
The files that are left in the "Data" share are files that is not changed very often, and since I do backup twice a week, the snapshots are not needed on this share.
Thanks for all the replies.

They should be there (created around midnight). Is the NAS powered down at night?

The NAS is running 24/7, so i assume that the snapshot should be created if i change or delete a file.
I have mainly been adding lines to spreadsheets and adding PDF files to the folder, but I have not deleted any files yet.

It should be creating a daily snapshot even if the share hasn't changed at all.
If you purchased within the past 90 days you might want to use your telephone support.
