I am unfortunatly having this issue as well after updating from 6.2.4... tried to use the iOS cloud app one day and got "Management Service Offline" after I went onto RAIDar to check what was going on. Still have SSH access though.

I figured it out! It turns out it was an overly large /var/log/btmp file that made the 4GB OS Partition run out of space! Removing the file took care of it!

HI ! I'm sorry but could you tell me how you managed to do that? My readynas has gone offline since the last backup and wont come back online. I can access the shares but cant log in to user interface. Its seems bizzare that everything else works but I am afraid that backup schedule is not working anymore.
I loged in via ssh and looked at the /var/log/btmp file and deleted it. But I still get the same message? I tried a restart via UI but maybe I need to pull the plugg ?

Let's start from the beginning, instead of just deleting stuff. How full is your OS partition?
Log in with ssh and enter
df . -h
df . -i
and report the results.
