RN102 Write Speed Help
Hi all,
Have seen many post about this but still having issues.
I currently have the above system, wired with cat5e, through a 10/100mb switch (netgear fs116).
I just uploaded a 2gb file which took almost an hour. I then transferred a 100mb file to determine the approximate speed.. That took 3:48seconds which is roughly half a mb per second.
Can anyone give any tips on how to speed this up at all? I know a gigabit switch would help but I know I should be getting a much better speed than this from my current switch
Thanks

- vandermerweMasterHow are you transferring the files?
From what machine are you transferring?
What services and/or addons are running on the NAS? Is antivirus on?
What firmware are you running?
I presume you are connecting directly to the NAS rather than through readynas remote? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserTry using the NAS performance tester here: http://www.808.dk/?code-csharp-nas-performance - that will give us a more repeatable measurement of performance, and tests both upload and download.
- Stuuk1AspirantThanks for your replies chaps.
It has since rectified itself, no idea how.. Now getting between 8 and 11 mb/s.
Looking forward to hooking up the gigabit switch - Marto731AspirantHello,
