I repaired an RN 104, previously installed with 6.5.2, then tried an update to 6.10.9 in the WEBUI, message with server error, so failed. Tried USB recovery on 6.10.9 - also failed. thereafter https://kb.netgear.com/29974/ReadyNAS-OS-6-RN100-RN2120-cannot-update-due-to-invalid-checksum
Nas is now on 6.10.10
How do I get to 6.10.09?
The log always says Invalid Checksum and USB Recovery failed, webui also shows Invalid Checksum at booting
with SSH ? >> put the firmware to root path and
| echo /root/ReadyNASOS-6.10.9-arm.img > /etc/.flash_update |
also invalid Checksum at Boot
i have also a RN102 there is the downgrade possible from 6.10.09 to 6.10.08

Were you able to install the deb file in the workaround?
If not, try installing it as if it were a firwmare update.

Yes. the Update with the .deb App worked fine to 6.10.10
but now on 6.10.10 no App-Support that's why I want to go back to 6.10.09- StephenBSep 15, 2024Guru - Experienced User

Either way, there are changes you need to make to the apt configuration with ssh. That is because Jessie (Debian 😎 has been deprecated, so the libraries have been archived. There is a very long thread on the topic here:
Post 37 is a good one to look at.
That said, you should be able to downgrade. So I am puzzled on what is going on there.
