RN104 - Remove inactive volumes - affects all disks after hotswapping new disk #27453091
Hi,
Recently I had been receiving disc space warnings so I bought a new WD Red 6GB disc to replace a 2GB disc. I read that I could simply hotswap the disc while the NAS was running.

How many volumes did you have? The hot-swap replacement works with xraid. With flexraid, it works with some configurations but not all.
If you have a backup, you could do a factory reset and simply restore the data from the backup.
Otherwise, I suggest support for this (they probably can solve the inactive volume problem remotely). They likely will charge though.

Thanks for the quick response, it's much appreciated. I'd one volume configured under xraid (raid 5 methinks).
I've no backup and don't want to lose any data so I'll contact support and will update this thread when I have further information.

Unfortunately your 4GB root volume is full so some of the most important logs for being able to try and diagnosing this issue from the logs are not in your logs zip.
Your data volume array is also offline.
Sounds like you would be best to contact support.
