Yes. The fact that it's not working like that is.. odd. Is there anything showing up in the windows8.1 event log that might be helpful? Can the Win8.1 machine map a drive to another (win7 or win8) workstation?

Is sharing enabled on the Win8.1 machine? (I think MS might have changed the default on 8.1 to turn off sharing...)
