RN104 Adding Disc
I have 3 4TB drives in my ReadyNAS 104 and have slowly been running out of space. I upgraded a drive in my back machine and freed up another 4TB drive. I have added this to my RN104, I thought ...
Array has rebuilt and new drive is now part of the array (10.9TB).
Not sure what was different this time compared to the others that I tried to add the drive, but thanks

The last disk you added, the one in slot 4 is marked as a spare.
You could try removing it and adding it again if you haven't already.
If that fails to resolve it we could try forcing it to be added to the array.I have removed and reinserted the drive, twice. Each time a new volume data-0 was created, which I destroyed. and the new drive was selectable for formatting.
I have Formatted the drive and the current data volume is now resyncing, 50 hours to go. I am pretty sure this is what happened when the drive was added the first time.
