RN214 best way to request file from 3rd party?
Hi,
I'm looking for a way to send a request to another person and have them upload a file onto my server. Basically, if another person takes a photo of my kid, I want to send them a link where they can just upload it from their computer or phone. Apparently synology has this and is called "file request". I am looking for something similar or a workaround that would allow me to achieve similar result.

NextCloud has a "anonymous upload" feature that is substantially the same as what you are wanting. https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/stable/user_manual/en/files/file_drop.html
You can get a package for NextCloud that will work on your RN214 from https://rnxtras.com/readynas-os6-arm. There is a small cost (€2.99), but you do get support for installation and configuration if you need it.
Another way to get there is to use cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive) for the upload, and sync the cloud storage to a share on the NAS with the built-on cloud apps.
