RN312 Finder search

OS 6.8 claims to allow Mac Finder to search readynas over SMB, but I have never been able to get this to work.  I have enhance Mac OS enabled but Finder search doesn't bring anything up.  Is there so...

The Enhance Mac OS option is useful if you have Macs on your network but it's not the option to toggle File Search.

 

Go to System > Settings > Services and enable File Search. It will take some time to do the initial indexing of the NAS especially if you have a lot of files so be patient.

it is enabled and the indexing is all completed too

      I'm on 6.9.3. yes I followed those search instructions, what should I be looking for in the logs? I haven't checked that
