RN314 randomly freezing shared folder - due to different hard disk drives?
When i copy a big amount of data to a smb share, the copy process freezes fro about 20 seconds (!) randomly during the copy process again and again. While freezing the hard disk LED is on permane...
A mix of hard drives won't cause your problem.
An unreliable drive of course will. Have you checked the SMART stats? A drive error that creates 20 second pause would almost certainly increase reallocated sectors, pending sectors, or ATA errors.

Hi, i just removed a suspicious hard drive - bam - there it is. This hdd WAS the cause for these random freezings. I will exchange her asap. Thanks for your hint.
