It should be possible to mount the RAID array manually in an x86 linux system.
You can also use RAID recovery software in a PC - R-Studio would work. You'd want the $79.99 version.

Thanks StephenB - that works for me, I had concerns that if I tried to put them in a separate linux build there might be a proprietary element preventing me from doing so. Or worse, attempting to retrieve the data could assume a new build and completely flatten the volume / storage pool.
