It is risky buying a unit the way you have and there's no warranty for that. It's quite possible the reason it was decommissioned was because there's a hardware issue with the unit.

Hi,
point is to find a problem and fix it. Not to talk about what if.
I swap MOBO with 4200, and power supplies did not change anything.
So I have removed MOBO and I am trying to start it alone. But without success.
I am almost sure that MOBO is fine, and this is not a hardware problem (damage), but according to some infomration on forum, there was firmware 6.7 causing many NAS unresponsible.
There must be a way to get output from this MOBO, if connected VGA is not working, serial is not working(or there are custom settings), perhaps there are some pins with low level voltage(TTL 3V) as it is in different models.
