Rsync error starting client-server protocol
NV+ backing up to USB external drive.
Failed from between yesterday's run and today's, no changes in setup made, been running this way for years, well, many months, anyway.
Tried all USB ports after properly disconnecting USB drive each time.
Tried re-booting ReadyNAS.
Actually, I have two identical jobs, backing up different shares to different USB Drives. Both jobs failed today with the same messages.
Both USB drives appear in Frontview, properly configured.
The ghost in the machine? Any suggestions, please? I'm in the Aaaarrrrggggh mode.
Many thanks.
Below are the two daily backup log entries for one of the jobs:

- vandermerweMasterWell, it's not the same issue as the one that mdgm had the solution for, however if you read the very last post in that thread it may help.

vandermerwe is right. Its not the same issue but the solutions mentioned might still help. Still worth trying :D I have edited my previous post. - whartonwGuideRsync service had been disabled on both USB drives!!!
Thanks to both of you, Ixa & vandermerwe. Did not occur to me to check, but now I know.
Any ideas on what could have caused this? Kinda scary.
