sabnzbd causes high system load
Hi all, Is it normal that sabnzbd drives the sysload up to 143? (as reported in the top right corner of the web interface) I see three recently finished downloads (with "busy" spinners) in t...

I think the NAS runs fine until sabnzbd begins repairing one of the downloads. So, I'll switch that function off (per the last post here). And then hopefully I'll be able to see which downloads need intervention, and run those repairs manually from my Mac.
However, now sabnzbd isn't able to start up. Are you able to take a look please?

Were you using the SABnzbd from the avaiable apps?
It was a little dated, but it looks like there is an updated one if you wanted to pay for it:
I started working on an updated version of that app. I took a quick look at where I was at and might be able to get it done this week running the latest 1.2.0.

Hi Mhynlo. Yes I think I installed it from the "available apps" page.
Whats the difference between the version you pointed me at (for €2.99); and the version that you might release this week?

The app version that I pointed to is the original dev that had his app on the "available apps". He has not updated the app there and requests support through app purchase.
My apps that I post are open source and submitted for "available apps". I have been updating some of the apps when I get time.

I'd rather get it from "available apps", so will wait for your release thank you Myynlo.

Got it, thanks for clarifying.

There are some things that make it easier to go the available apps like knowning what are the available ports, notifying users there are updates, and seems like there ares some testing they run before posting.
Either case; I was able to get most of SABnzbd:
https://github.com/Mhynlo/readynas-sabnzbd/releases/tag/1.2.0-0
I flagged it as pre-release because there are some little things I want to do for hte build process, but the app itself should all be ready and will not be touched when I submit to Netgear.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

Hi Mhynlo, thanks so much for this. I put the news server into the wizard, but I get the following when trying to connect to the web interface (at https://192.168.18.17/sabnzbd/):
Lost connection to SABnzbd..
In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically!Sometimes I also see this:
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /sabnzbd/config/.Reason: Error reading from remote server
Apache/2.2.31 (Debian) Server at 192.168.18.17 Port 443
Should I give it more time? Maybe it's still running installation related scripts? (although it's been half an hour or so)

It still seems to be slow and dropping the connection.
The previous version didn't do this (ie. the version that was visible in "available apps" before I upgraded the firmware).

I've rebooted the NAS and SAB seems to be up and responding now. Will play around with it a bit tomorrow and see how it goes.

Looks good, thank you so much Mhynlo.

Glad to hear that build is working out for you.
I will submit that to netgear to post. The change I was going to do is just related to the build process and would not impact that end package.
