To my surprise i found out that many users have turned off journaling and left write cache on.
A bit nasty if you dont use UPS but i guess its a good fix to use until a firmware update from seagate comes.

So im gonna turn on write cache and turn of journaling until a firmware update fixes this problem once and for all.

"-issue with Seagate firmware on all drives to date in the 1.5GB capacity. Drives under OS X that are formatted as "Mac OS X Extended Journaled" will freeze every 15-20 minutes for about 10 seconds. The solution is to format the drive as "Mac OS X Extended" without Journaling."
