I have heard all sorts of stuff, but none of it direct from Seagate. They are pretty hush on the whole thing, which is rather silly as opposed to publishing the real deal on their website, and squashing rumors.
I just got my last RMA drive from 'egg and it is factory CC1H. This will put my array at 1xCC1J 1xSD1A and 2xCC1H.
The drives that failed me were CC1J and a CC1H. The drives I have so far with 0 errors are CC1H (CC1G upgrade), CC1J, and SD1A
I am sensing no pattern in quality vs firmware what so ever. My 2 failures were reallocation type, in a bad way.
