share connect to windows - error

Hi
I have problem on Windows with this NAS. I have created a network share - public access and user account (login and password).
Maps in windows account first user(given a login and password), then maps the public participation. Restart the computer and now trying to enter the user account - windows throwing error:
"Multiple connection to the server through the same user is not allowed."
What's interesting - on several computers that already works and is OK.

    You have to use the same credentials for both X and Y, otherwise Windows will give you an error.  That is a windows restriction.

     

    I am thinking that when you restart, X is being mounted first without credentials- so Windows will use its logon/password.  Then Y won't mount.

     

    Try changing X to use the hostname, and use the IP address for Y.  See if that works differently,

    Well, the error happens because for some reason Windows has another session open to the NAS.

     

    If you can't figure out what that is, then perhaps try changing the mapped drive to link to the IP address instead of the hostname (or vice-versa).

      Welcome to the community!

       

      This is normal with SMB. If you're computer is already logged in as guest (public) to the ReadyNAS, you can no longer access a secured share with another user credential. If you want to clear the existing or current login session to login your user, execute this (net use * /delete) command without the parenthesis in command prompt .

      I try with hostname but is the same problem, but I have several computers connected in such a way that the shares - and it works without problems on Windows 7 and 10.

      This problem is only on Netgear - Qnap, Synology works fine.

        Is there anything else on the PCs that might be accessing the NAS at startup?  For instance a backup program?

         

        After the error, did you try opening CMD and entering net use 

         

        That should help you track down what the other connection is.
