When I first made the update to 6.4 I had timeout problems with rsync jobs. The same backups did run without problems with 6.2.5 before. I also got the problem described here, that the access with cifs is extreamly slow and after a while I noticed that those problems of slow access related to some folders where its reproducible. Deleting and recopying those directories didn't help as far as I tested. I assume that the two problems, slow access and rsync timeouts are related. For my use of ReadyNas the problem is crucial, the NAS can not be used normally. I really hope that there will be ready a solution soon and that Netgear will give an answer to the question above, how to downgrade to the usable version 6.2.5.
I can't understand that Netgear doesn't help immediately when users get such serious problems.

Hi mhoehne & ernst_stucki,
Load the latest Beta Firmware and see if it fixes both SMB/FTP slow transfer speed issue. If not, kindly contact our support team to report this and for a support ticket.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Kind regards,

BrianL,
unfortunately do I have with this new Beta the same slow performance on FTP. Also the interrupting Connections on FTP and rsync are still existing. I will open a support, if possible, but from my point of view, more informations for downgrade to versin 6.2.5 would be very helpful.
regards Marcel

Hi BrianL,
back from opening a Supportcall. My Device has Hradware warranty until Sept. 2016 but no Support contract, so that I can't ask the Support. Please give me the needed informations to go back to 6.2.5 . That was a stable , fast image and it is okay for me.
regards Marcel

Hello mhoehne,
Downgrade to 6.2.5 via admin page is not possible, but I believe can be done in the backend. Try sending PM to mdgm.
You also still get support by availing per incident service from support center.
