slow sparse bundle delete
i have a sparse bundle back up that i want to delete from my ReadyNAS duo. the deletion process has been going on now for 48 hours. i think the process is still active. how long should it take? ...

Deleting sparsebundles via AFP and SMB is slow, but as you have found will eventually complete.

Hello jsalba,
Is there a Time Machine backup currently running with the NAS? If so, you may need to stop it.
Please also see this deleting time machine backup topic on this forum if you are familiar with SSH.

thanks for the help
one of the two time machine sparse bundles that i was trying to delete finally disappeared after 72 hrs and the second after 96 hours.
i had read the Netgear community posts on Time Machine in detail but was somewhat intimidated by the references to SSH
