Slow UI

Hi,

I got a Duo for Christmas and have been trying to set it up.
Aside from some techy issues I have (I'll ask in appropiate forum), the UI seems to be really slow.
If I make any changes, or to select different options, it can take 10 seconds to get there. Sometimes after a change, I need to refresh the web browser as its just hanging.

The web browser does always say its an I trusted site, something about a certificate - but I'm guessing this wouldn't impede the speed of the UI - or would it??

Maybe this is normal, I'm not sure, and would appreciate any advice.

Cheers
Chris

What Duo is it? Is it Duo v1, running RAIDiator 4.1.x with interface like http://www.readynas.com/simulators/frontview/home.htm or is it Duo v2, running RAIDiator 5.3.x and new dashboard web interface.

What version of RAIDiator are you running?

What web browsers and versions have you tried?

Have you checked to make sure the DNS and Gateway settings under Network in Frontview are correct?

The ReadyNAS issues a self-signed certificate. It's safe to trust it.

    Welcome to the forum!
  • It's V1.
And as for the rest, I'd have to check later on and get back to you.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Right.

Something else I'd like to know is what services you have enabled, especially what addons.

Do note that Sparc ReadyNAS (Duo v1) are the slowest of the ReadyNAS (have slow Infrant Sparc CPUs).

Also note that Frontview is a low priority process which means if something else is hogging the resources, Frontview will be quite slow or in some cases fail to load so as to not affect (or to only minimally affect) performance of higher priority tasks.
  • To be honest, the website I got it from didnt say what version it was, just that it was the latest, so I assumed just that.
Now I'm thinking I have just brought an older version. And should change it.!!

    What do you think?
  • I'm lost now - being new to all this.

Would you suggest the V1 or V2 ??

I see on the spec it says it should have 3 licenses of memeo included too - which I don't think mine has.
