no, unfortunately not - the NAS serves as a backup for all PCs and a media server
And even if I were to buy a large enough external USB3 HDD I don't know if the web UI interface is going to allow me to copy over the files anyway.

Did you try booting the NAS in Volume Read Only mode via the Boot Menu?

so should I try enabling SMB in the read only mode? or this is to do a backup?
