I think you might be confused on what Wake-on-Lan actually is. It does not automatically wake your NAS when windows explorer tries to browse to it. Devices that support WoL will turn themselves on when they receive a special packet called a "magic packet". Windows doesn't send that packet, you need a small utility that does.
If you google "wake on lan" clients windows you will find several free clients. I don't have any particular one to recommend. You will need to know your ReadyNAS MAC Address. That is the top line on the "network" tab of the administrator UI.
