Squeezebox: Media folder not available while scanning

Welcome to the ReadyNAS/Squeeze world. You have probably answered your own question by now but I do believe that the Squeeze software is already scanning your music folder. It may have assumed a default location for your music folder. Or it may be having problems scanning.

You have chosen a not so user friendly streaming solution. The Squeeze software is a bit frustrating at times - not like the essentially plug-n-play Sonos gear.

What version of the Squeeze software are you running?
Where did you get it? (download from Logitech? Preinstalled on ReadyNAS?)
