Squeezebox Server 7.7.5 on Duo v1/file formats
I am just in the early days of streaming having been a cd user for my audio for many more years I care to remember .. 8)
In doing so I now understand that converting Flac files (my chosen high quality option) can be done on the server rather than on the SB Touch itself and this can improve the sound a little.
ISSUE: my Logitech Server software will not give me the option to use pcm when sending the data to the Touch unit that it feeds.
Q: is this simply because the Duo v1 simply does not have the horsepower to process flac files onboard? Or is it some sort of corruption or missing files?
If it is the limitation of the Duo then can I switch off services that are not needed to free up ram to get this flac conversion running?

- It appears the Netgear ReadyNas Duo v1 is indeed not powerful enough to run deciding natively.
