Streaming videos via USB 2.0?

Is it possible to stream videos using DLNA from a ReadyNAS to a PS3 via the USB port?

I know you can do this with Ethernet, but I'm trying to keep video streaming off the network so it doesn't affect other users.

    No, it is not possible.

If you are using wired ethernet, the video streaming won't effect the other users. If you do run into a performance issue, you can get an inexpensive gigabit switch and insert it between the router and your devices.

Note video streaming takes between 1 mbit/sec and 54 mbit / sec - much less than the 1000 mbit/sec available on a gigabit network. Also, the traffic doesn't reach clients who aren't accessing the stream (so streaming from the NAS to your PS3 will effect the NAS link and the PS3 link, but nothing else).
