Orbi RBE772 - Teams meetings and video streaming drops/reconnects
New Orbi owner here. My Nighthawk R8000 worked flawlessly for 10 years and I decided to upgrade to the Orbi. From day one, Teams meetings on Dell laptop and video streaming from various platforms (Facebook, YouTube) on iPads frequently drop and reconnect (about every 30 secs). Firmware v10.5.8.1. Satellite about 20 feet from the router. 1900 sq ft home. ISP Focus Broadband Fiber 300 up/down. I stream TV on a MergeTV box (Tivo) and it streams all day without a problem. I have searched the web and here in the community and others experienced the same earlier in the year, but nothing new lately. A lot of suggestions that I have tried, but I couldn't find a solution other than to possibly run the Orbi in AP mode instead of router mode (I haven't tried this yet).
Has anyone found a solution to this? Thank you!
v 10.5.10.184 fixed the issue. No more streaming issues and my Teams meeting was flawless. I had NG close the case.

Does this happen with the RBS turned off?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
20 feet is too close between the RBR and RBS. 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Thank you for your input. I did a proper measuring of the distance between the RBR and RBS. It is 28 ft. direct path. Wireless backhaul. I had an audio Teams meeting this morning with the RBS powered off and the issue still persists. Audio dropped several times, Teams popped up a message saying that my network quality was poor. The meeting disconnected and automatically reconnected after about 5 seconds.
Channel configuration: 2.4 Ghz is set to channel 11. 5 Ghz is is set to channel 40. I left all other settings at their default factory setting. Enable 20/40 MHz Coexistence is checked. Preamble set to Automatic.
The ISP modem is secured to the wall with the label against the wall. I can't remove it. Unk mfg. It is a fiber modem in bridge mode. My ISP is passing me a static public IP address that I have on the RBR WAN interface via PPPoE.
What is the brand and model # of the device(s) your connecting with Teams?
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.Any chance of asking the ISP about the brand and model# of the ONT?
Disable 20/40 MHz Coexistence unchecked.
Is SIP ALG enabled or disabled under Advanced Tab/Setup/WAN Setup?
How is the "merge tv" (Tivo) connected to the Orbi? ('wired' or WiFi?)
Does the hardware perhaps go by a different name on the Tivo web site?
It would be helpful to distinguish between "losing WiFi connection" and "problems with streaming".
i.e. do the iPad and laptop indicate that they have lost WiFi connection, or does the video stream freeze.
The post does not mention what specific steps are required to get the video stream to resume.

Thank you for your response. Here is the information below:

The MergeTV box is mfg by Tivo, but made for Focus Broadband - my Internet and TV provider. It is wired to the RBR.
It would be helpful to distinguish between "losing WiFi connection" and "problems with streaming". I am not loosing wifi per se. My Teams meeting has three symptoms: 1) audio will drop and video freezes for about 5 seconds and then automatically restarts. The Teams software will pop up a message stating that my network is poor quality a few times during my meetings, and sometimes the meeting will disconnect and automatically reconnect after about 5 seconds. All this time, my wifi signal stays strong.

The iPad live stream will freeze and automatically start after a couple seconds. However, my wife watched a few videos on her iPad this morning and it was fine. Not sure if I need to pursue troubleshooting for her iPad. I would rather focus on my Teams meeting issues since I work from home.

Thank you for reaching out. I will grab the debug logs during my next Teams call.
