Is there any product that enables a ReadyNas Ultra to do on-the-fly Transcoding? This would enable people that have a DLNA enabled TV but where the TV only shows selected codecs. For example the S...
Indeed. In fact, the Pro 6 (which I have) just manages transcoding for 720p. 1080p can be questionable (depending on the encoding, etc). Any of the Atom cpu-based NAS boxes Netgear makes (or any other manufacturer, for that matter) is barely adequate for transcoding 720p.
