Syncing with LAN machines only

Hello,

In our shop we have a number of OSX systems which are on a LAN with one of our ReadyNAS OS6 systems. I'd like to have these machines sync with the server (NAS), but to Sync seems to require ReadyCloud, which then gives those users the ability to sync anywhere to anything else. They don't own the data, and should not be accessing it externally.

How can I best have LAN-based syncing without ReadyCloud throwing away our data security with such broad permissions?

BTW - Using a standard mounted NAS drive for this project doesn't work. The files need to be sync'd from workstation-local versions.

    Hello Tryll,

    Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, I can only see ReadyCloud as the app that can let you sync the Mac OSX machines with the NAS. You might want to consider checking on DropBox too.

    Regards,

BT sync might work, especially if you have the ability to block the ports it uses in your enterprise router.  It is supported on OSX 10.8 and later.
